FY2011 Appropriations Project Requests - Financial Services and General Government PDF Print E-mail

 

California, San Jose, United States Courthouse – This is a valuable use of taxpayer funds because it will be used toward site acquisition, demolition and relocation for a new federal courthouse in San Jose, Californiathat will address the critical security problems and lack of long-term expansion capacity at the current courthouse. This project was also included on the list of projects recommended by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts during the Judicial Conference in February of 2010.


        City of San Jose Clean Tech Innovation Center– This is a valuable use of taxpayer funds because it will help to complete facility, equipment, and programming needs for the new Clean Tech Innovation Center for product demonstration and prototype manufacturing, part of a new 40,000 square foot business incubator under phased construction by the City to help promote the regional clean tech innovation cluster in Silicon Valley.


                  National Drug Court Institute (NDCI)– This is a valuable use of taxpayer funds because the institute is the preeminent source of cutting-edge training, technical assistance and resources of the drug court field; providing research-driven solutions to address the changing needs of treating substance-abusing offenders.
